Privacy and cookies

Who runs this website. This is the official website of Hugh Murphy, author of Memories And Observations. It is built and managed for Hugh by HQ360.

What we collect when you sign up or write to us. If you ask for Chapter One, join the newsletter or send a message, we receive the details you type in, such as your name and email address. These are delivered to us by email through Web3Forms. We use them only to send what you asked for, to reply to you, and to send Hugh's occasional newsletter if you chose it. We never sell or share your details.

Cookies and visitor statistics. If you click Accept on the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics to see how many people visit, which pages they read, which country they visit from and which buttons they click, such as the links to buy the book. This helps Hugh share his story with more readers. If you click Decline, Google Analytics does not run. Our host, Cloudflare, also counts visits without cookies to keep the site fast and secure.

Your choices. You can leave the newsletter at any time using the link in any email. You can ask us to see, correct or delete your details by using the contact page. To change your cookie choice, clear this site's data in your browser and the banner will appear again.
